JoJo’s Time is Money!

Greetings y’all! Shout out to all my RemixCitizens around the world!

Those of you not familiar with me: I’ve been blogging since 1995 and most of what’s left is on myspace.com/remixcity. As an avid human I am all over the place which is why I’m really glad I connected with JoJo’s mixtape project: Can’t Take That Away From Me.

I can do several things in sequence giving the appearance I’m doing several things at once. Multitasking is an illusion however, a deft attention to detail and focus is my bread and butter and my only secret weapon in life.

I loved it when I read that JoJo is naturally just like that on this mixtape and in personality: All over the place. The Beauty of it is once you emerge at the end of the track listing you feel so complete you forget you actually have other things to do in life.

I’m not gonna hide the truth that I’m quite older than JoJo but I always liked her style and wondered what the woman would be compared to the girl. Since music is my legacy, I only bought one song from her first albums though I have heard them all and that track was “Leave (Get Out)”. I just loved how the songwriters gave such a sense of security and then kicked the butt of the bad boyfriend clear through the door. What really got me was how she sang the song: Like she has been there and felt that and to this day I still love it.

This mixtape is a strong sign that the JoJo we got to experience back then, the JoJo we loved, is all grown up and ready to kick even more butt which she does with every single track on this mixtape. There is no need for track by track, don’t pick a favorite. Your mood will dictate that. Every track is Perfection.

For my part I will just say I have been tweeting and making sure everyone I respect gets to hear her on this mixtape, it’s really a tour de force. I can’t wait to buy her next album and get all her other material so I can obsess and compare JoJo the debutante, with JoJo the evolving Star.
